Valentine's Day and the Weather along with a few of my paintings

Hi everyone.  I just wanted to say hello again, since I have not said that in a while.  Also, I hope that everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day.  I am sorry that I did not post on Valentine's Day.  It was silly of me to not so that. Either way, I am sure that the day went on, and that hopefully it was lovely.  Anyway, I will post my poems about spring and Valentine's Day.

Yesterday I painted a few pictures using acrylic paint.  I will try to scan them so everyone can see pretty paintings.  Well, my parents both said that they were cool looking and my mom said that they were beautiful.  Hopefully you will think that too.  I have also taken more pictures, I will just have to figure out how to load the pictures on to the computer.  Then I will be able to show you the photos that that I took.

Today the weather has been so weird.  First it was very sunny out.  Then it drizzled, rained hard for a few minutes, and then rained again.  There were all these shorts amounts of time where the rain was raining hard then completely stopping.  I should stop complaining now though, because it was not raining in buckets like it was a few weeks ago.  Also, whoever lives in the east coast in the U.S., the weather better stop being mean and actually think.  Boo to snow storms.  Boo to global warming.  Boo to wastefulness.  Well by having an excess amount of Carbon Dioxide, there is global warming, and global warming changes the regular pattern of how hot or cold the temperature of a certain region should be.  At least that is logically what the answer is as to why you have so much snow or rain.
Now I shall tell you about the fun my friends and I had that you missed out on.  Well it was fun for us.  Yesterday during lunch, we decided to be silly and throw mustard packets at each other.   Everyone was trying to throw the packets into my lunch box because it was the opening of it was, well... open. We also threw them at each other.  It was amazing how much fun that actually was.  Well there is way more I could probably talk about, but I think you would get bored. I hope everyone has a great rest of the day.   I will post my paintings, poems, and photos as soon as possible. By to everyone for now.

Long Explanations that disguise my excuses

So yeah, my title for today is long.  Also, I did not get to go on the computer yesterday.  Apparently I was banned from it.  It was my fault though.  So now I should probably get on to what this whole post is actually about.  Sorry if I am boring.  Below are the reasons for why I have not been able to blog much lately.

First of all, on a Friday, after the sun was completely of sight/view, the winds blew in a loud rage.  It had been raining for the majority of the week, and on Friday the winds gushed, blowing everything with a whoosh.  While it was nothing to blow a house down, but it was more than just the breeze you feel from when someone gives you a gentle tap on a swing as your hand hold on tightly on to the chain, and your body flies up in the air.  That is a great feeling.  I feel dizzy though if I swing too high up. Also, no I do not need to have someone push me so I can be lifted into the air; I know how to do that myself. I have even taught a few younger kids how to do it.  Okay, so now getting back to the original topic, I will continue on with my story and stop bragging.

So on Friday, when it was really windy, the lights went out.  The lights went out suddenly.  Then the lights flickered back on for a millisecond and then they went back out.  For almost an entire hour, my mom and I sat in the dark. Well okay we did not actually sit there doping about the fact that there was no light.  I tried to practice my flute, talk to my mom and light lights. (I did not attempt to do all of these at once, unlike that one guy from Doctor Seuss.  My mom was too sick so we could not go to Sabbath(Shabbat), but we said the prayer before you light the lights.)  I guess Thomas Edison was crying in heaven.  Or maybe it was just Verizon.  Either way, it screwed up our internet access.  It is unfair that my dad's lights were not harmed.  His work is in a different city than our house though, so it would only made sense that it would not be affected.  (Since the lights went out, I could not work on the computer.)

Then the computer tried to die on us and even though my dad fixed it, we had to get a new one.  This is because the internet was down for a week and even though he fixed it, it would say it was working and then decide to be scared and say the connection does not work.  I guess it does not want to give us any affection.  It was saying, "Hello, hello. I don't know why I say hello, now I say goodbye."  "I said yes, but now I disagree/ second guess with myself and say no." "You say goodbye and I say hello." "Hello hello.  Don't know why I say hello, now I say goodbye."... (Hello-oo-oh-oo-oh-oo-oh-oo, oh goodbye-eye-eye.)  You darn internet connection.  Do not make me sing the line:
"You say goodbye, and I say hello."
Our internet decided to be mean.  Then I had so much homework that I had no time to post anything what so ever.  I literally one week had to stay up to 12'oclock in the morning finishing homework.  I am trying to get more sleep.  Luckily for me this was a three day weekend.  Now I should get back to my other homework for this week.

Wow, that was a lot of typing!  I hope everything makes sense and that everyone likes it.  By the way, thanks to those who commented.  I will comment back to you.  Hope that everyone has a great, marvelous, rest of the night or day.

Ok, yeah so it is really late plus b-day

So, today it is my dad's birthday, and before the day closes up here in California, I just wanted to say Happy Birthday again to you/ dad!  A tribute to you dad:

" Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday dear great dad,
Happy birthday to you."

Yay!  Did you know that Happy Birthday is one of the most world-wide sung songs?  Anyway, to those who live in other parts of the world and it is already February 6th, Happy February 6th.  I have had a lot of homework lately, and will be giving a whole long explanation as to why I have not had much time to blog.  That will be coming to you tomorrow.  Thanks to people for commenting.  Also, I will put up my History essay on Marbury v. Madison that I wrote yesterday.  Hopefully, I can get faster at typing, since my typing has been slow lately.  I guess that means I will have to go back to the typing tests which I took in summer of 09'.  Anyway, I hope everyone has a great night or day.

Banners, My Mom's Cool Jewelry Website, the Rain, Photos, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and Haiti (yes, many topics and a very long title)

Hi everyone.  I was playing around on my computer, trying to create a good banner, but it did not really turn out that well.  I went online to try and figure out how to make one myself, but none of the blog template explanations made any sense.  Well, I should probably stop complaining now.  I am going to continue to try to make a better banner.  This means one that is free.  However, if I am still unable to make one that looks nice myself, I will just have to ask my mom to buy me one( or buy one with my allowance).  By the way, my mom  also has a website.  She sells jewelry on Etsy.  Etsy is a crafty all handmade website. You sell whatever you hand make, or if if you sell supplies, you would list items under supplies.  It is different from e-bay, because it is mostly handmade, however, e-bay is not. My mom's website name is www.mindielee.etsy.com  I hope the link will work.  (By saying/writing the link, I mean the link to her site.)

So, today it is raining, and unless we get a rainbow which I hope we do, I probably will not be able to take pictures. However, I did take some pictures on my new camera a few days ago.  Once I upload them, I will put them up.  I have had so much homework lately, so I really did not have any time to put them up, unless I wanted to not not finish all my homework.  Since today is a national holiday(Yay for Martin Luther King Jr.!), I have time to put up some more pictures of the sky and also the floats we saw at the Rose Ball Parade Float.  We did not go to the Parade.  The floats are always left up for a few days after the parade, and so we saw them.  They are so beautiful and are amazingly intricate.  Oops if I already talked about the Rose Ball floats.  Anyway, this is completely off topic, but I  wonder as to why my grammar is seeming slightly weird today.  Maybe it is the rain, or maybe it is just me.  I do not know, but whatever it is, it is annoying me.  I just had to look over this post a little longer than how I normally have to look over my posts.  I am going to post another post about a few other completely different topics, such as one Haiti.  Whoever is there, I hope you will survive, and get the necessary help.  We donated money to Haiti.  More information about Haiti will be on my next post. I hope everyone, wherever you live has a great rest of the day or night.

Rose Ball Parade Floats, pictures (to be posted), 2010, and belated holiday wishes

I have not been blogging for a while because I wanted to do so, but then decided to play games.  Blogging is fun! Yay for the internet.  Sorry this post is late, just wanted to let everyone know a few things.  Also, I wanted to say hi.  I am going to let everyone know about my life for a minute.  Hopefully it is not boring.  Anyway, on Friday, January 1st (yay for the New Year/new year) my brother and his friend flew in to California to see my mom, dad, and me.  My brother and his friend are both way older than me, which makes sense since my brother, is technically my half brother.  He is twenty-two (my brother).  Both of them are nice and laugh about what I laugh about, which is cool.  Ugh, I am sounding completely boring. Sorry.  Did I just use the correct grammar?  Anyone know? Please leave a comment which says that you are a certified grammar teacher or someone who knows English well and that you can help with my grammar.  Grammar is spelled funny.  Well, it depends on the way you say it.

Okay, I am getting way off topic.  I should be going back to my brother and his friend.  So, on January 2nd my brother, his friend, my dad and I went to the Rose Bowl Parade floats, which were spectacular.  All of them are of mostly (95%) natural material.  They use many types of beans, rice, and certainly also flowers.  In addition, they use seeds, fruit, and sometimes even bark.  These are only some of the products.  All of the floats we saw (we saw basically all of them) had a trophy.  Tomorrow I will post up the pictures of some of them.  My favorite floats were the ones with butterflies.  There was also this one float with a dragon that was incredible.  Everyone's jaw was dropping for it or yelling out it was so cool looking.  I stood in awe, because it really was amazing.  I will put up a picture of that tomorrow.  By the way, Happy very belated Christmas to anyone who celebrated it.  I hope that all the other holidays that everyone celebrates have been wonderful.   Happy 2010.  Although, I am Jewish and I am really supposed to go by the lunar calendar, I still want to wish everyone a happy 2010.  2010 is based on the solar calendar, along with all the other years that have been one of the 0--2009. Hope everyone has a good rest of the evening or day.

Stormy Weather and the Holidays

It was raining earlier, and has been for the past week. Well actually, not on every day, but on a fair amount of days so far. Excuse me for saying raining, for if it were raining the gutters might clogged, and the wind would be howling as the telephone would be rattling, swaying up and down. So really it was only a slight drizzle, which of course brought depression to some while others twirled, and jumped excitedly. Actually, I did not see anyone jump and go spin out in the rain. My friends debated about whether we liked the rain, while all huddled closely together under the shelter of the cafeteria's roof. One day we sat outside by classrooms, but we did not get wet. Oh, and now I should probably stop talking about my friends, and get the good things. So since I am Jewish, (reformed) I celebrate Hanukkah. If I were Orthodox I would not be on the computer right now, but really it is only a few hours away from when the sun sets and Shabbat (Sabbath), our religious service (day of rest) ends. Okay, that may not have made sense, but I am going to make sense now.

For Hanukkah we light a menorah. There is one candle to light all the others, but on the first of the eight nights you only light eight candles. So yesterday, as we were lighting the candles, on the Menorah, Candelabra, Hannukia/ Chanukia (what ever you want to call it), my dad and I were wearing hats. I chanted the prayers written in Hebrew, and then my parents and I lighted the candles. Next we opened presents. My dad still wearing his hat made a dopey face because he had just received gray pajamas and his hat was half broken. The gray pajamas were supposed to represent sadness, because they were gray. He was pretending to be sad. I took a picture of him. However, it took multiple times to take it, because everyone time I was just about to take it, I ended up roaring into laughter. Each time I stuttered, until finally I was able to control my giggling and take the funny picture. Hope you like it. Also, please comment if you have any questions or things you think would be great for my blog. I am not asking for you to tell me up something inappropriate. Another thing to do is please fill out my polls and look at my pictures and poems. When you are done on my blog, I hope that you have a marvelous rest of the day or night.

Accidentally Belated Facts About Thanksgiving

Hi everyone.  I realized that my last post I accidentally saved it as a draft, instead of making it a post.  It had things for Thanksgiving on there. Even though Thanksgiving has been gone for a while, I will tell you a few facts about it anyway.  The crafts and the recipes that come with this post will just have to be for next year. If you wanted though,  you could incorporate the recipe or craft into something for the holidays coming up soon.  The sites I got information from are the Family Fun magazine website, and a few others.  I will cite them so I do not get in trouble. Here are the things that I got.  Also,  I will put up some new holiday things for this month.
