Long Explanations that disguise my excuses

So yeah, my title for today is long.  Also, I did not get to go on the computer yesterday.  Apparently I was banned from it.  It was my fault though.  So now I should probably get on to what this whole post is actually about.  Sorry if I am boring.  Below are the reasons for why I have not been able to blog much lately.

First of all, on a Friday, after the sun was completely of sight/view, the winds blew in a loud rage.  It had been raining for the majority of the week, and on Friday the winds gushed, blowing everything with a whoosh.  While it was nothing to blow a house down, but it was more than just the breeze you feel from when someone gives you a gentle tap on a swing as your hand hold on tightly on to the chain, and your body flies up in the air.  That is a great feeling.  I feel dizzy though if I swing too high up. Also, no I do not need to have someone push me so I can be lifted into the air; I know how to do that myself. I have even taught a few younger kids how to do it.  Okay, so now getting back to the original topic, I will continue on with my story and stop bragging.

So on Friday, when it was really windy, the lights went out.  The lights went out suddenly.  Then the lights flickered back on for a millisecond and then they went back out.  For almost an entire hour, my mom and I sat in the dark. Well okay we did not actually sit there doping about the fact that there was no light.  I tried to practice my flute, talk to my mom and light lights. (I did not attempt to do all of these at once, unlike that one guy from Doctor Seuss.  My mom was too sick so we could not go to Sabbath(Shabbat), but we said the prayer before you light the lights.)  I guess Thomas Edison was crying in heaven.  Or maybe it was just Verizon.  Either way, it screwed up our internet access.  It is unfair that my dad's lights were not harmed.  His work is in a different city than our house though, so it would only made sense that it would not be affected.  (Since the lights went out, I could not work on the computer.)

Then the computer tried to die on us and even though my dad fixed it, we had to get a new one.  This is because the internet was down for a week and even though he fixed it, it would say it was working and then decide to be scared and say the connection does not work.  I guess it does not want to give us any affection.  It was saying, "Hello, hello. I don't know why I say hello, now I say goodbye."  "I said yes, but now I disagree/ second guess with myself and say no." "You say goodbye and I say hello." "Hello hello.  Don't know why I say hello, now I say goodbye."... (Hello-oo-oh-oo-oh-oo-oh-oo, oh goodbye-eye-eye.)  You darn internet connection.  Do not make me sing the line:
"You say goodbye, and I say hello."
Our internet decided to be mean.  Then I had so much homework that I had no time to post anything what so ever.  I literally one week had to stay up to 12'oclock in the morning finishing homework.  I am trying to get more sleep.  Luckily for me this was a three day weekend.  Now I should get back to my other homework for this week.

Wow, that was a lot of typing!  I hope everything makes sense and that everyone likes it.  By the way, thanks to those who commented.  I will comment back to you.  Hope that everyone has a great, marvelous, rest of the night or day.

Stormy Weather and the Holidays

It was raining earlier, and has been for the past week. Well actually, not on every day, but on a fair amount of days so far. Excuse me for saying raining, for if it were raining the gutters might clogged, and the wind would be howling as the telephone would be rattling, swaying up and down. So really it was only a slight drizzle, which of course brought depression to some while others twirled, and jumped excitedly. Actually, I did not see anyone jump and go spin out in the rain. My friends debated about whether we liked the rain, while all huddled closely together under the shelter of the cafeteria's roof. One day we sat outside by classrooms, but we did not get wet. Oh, and now I should probably stop talking about my friends, and get the good things. So since I am Jewish, (reformed) I celebrate Hanukkah. If I were Orthodox I would not be on the computer right now, but really it is only a few hours away from when the sun sets and Shabbat (Sabbath), our religious service (day of rest) ends. Okay, that may not have made sense, but I am going to make sense now.

For Hanukkah we light a menorah. There is one candle to light all the others, but on the first of the eight nights you only light eight candles. So yesterday, as we were lighting the candles, on the Menorah, Candelabra, Hannukia/ Chanukia (what ever you want to call it), my dad and I were wearing hats. I chanted the prayers written in Hebrew, and then my parents and I lighted the candles. Next we opened presents. My dad still wearing his hat made a dopey face because he had just received gray pajamas and his hat was half broken. The gray pajamas were supposed to represent sadness, because they were gray. He was pretending to be sad. I took a picture of him. However, it took multiple times to take it, because everyone time I was just about to take it, I ended up roaring into laughter. Each time I stuttered, until finally I was able to control my giggling and take the funny picture. Hope you like it. Also, please comment if you have any questions or things you think would be great for my blog. I am not asking for you to tell me up something inappropriate. Another thing to do is please fill out my polls and look at my pictures and poems. When you are done on my blog, I hope that you have a marvelous rest of the day or night.
